Privacy Policy

How Date Now Not Later handles member data, optional health information, photos, messages, and billing. Last updated July 22, 2026.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Date Now Not Later (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website at datenownotlater.com, create a membership account, browse, match, chat, or purchase subscriptions.

2. Scope and age

The Service is for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it and disable the account.

This Policy applies to members, visitors to public marketing pages, and people who contact support.

3. Information we collect

Account and profile information: email address, password (stored as a secure hash by our auth provider), display name, age, gender, location (city/state/ZIP and optional coordinates), relationship goals and preferences, bio, hobbies, education, faith, ethnicity, body type, height, kids preferences, and similar profile fields you choose to provide.

Photos and media: private photos you upload, descriptions, moderation status, and optional public avatar settings.

Messages and social activity: likes, passes, matches, chat messages, blocks, reports, and health-share actions between matches when you use those features.

Optional health-related information: if you choose to add STI/health status fields and visibility settings, we store what you provide. Health details are optional and not required to browse, like, or match.

Technical and usage data: IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP or profile inputs, login timestamps, pages viewed, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

Billing information: subscription status, entitlement records, and Stripe customer identifiers. Payment card numbers are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Support communications: messages you send to support or through contact forms.

4. Sensitive / health-related data

Some members voluntarily share health-related information (for example HSV, HIV, or other STI statuses). This is sensitive personal information.

We use this information only to store it under your chosen visibility settings, show it to others when your settings and sharing actions allow, and operate safety/support features.

Visibility options may include public on profile, matches only, private (only you), or share individually with a specific match. You control these settings and can change them in the product.

We do not sell health-related information. We do not use health status as a required field for browsing or matching. Other members may see health details only according to your settings and the product’s sharing rules.

Do not upload or share someone else’s health information without their consent.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Create and secure your account (including email verification codes)

• Operate discovery, matching, messaging, blocking, and reporting

• Apply privacy and photo-moderation rules

• Process subscriptions, add-ons, invoices, and customer-portal billing via Stripe

• Provide customer support and respond to safety concerns

• Detect fraud, abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy

• Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests as described in our Law Enforcement Protocols

• Improve reliability, security, and product experience

We do not sell personal information for money.

6. How we share information

With other members: profile details, photos/avatars, and optional health fields appear according to your privacy settings and product rules. Messages are visible to the participants in a match conversation.

With service providers (processors) that help us run the Service under contractual obligations, which may include:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and private photo storage

• Stripe — payment processing, subscriptions, and billing portal

• Email delivery / hosting providers used to send verification and transactional email

• Cloud hosting and content-moderation tools (for example photo safety screening)

With law enforcement or regulators when required by law or as described in our Law Enforcement Protocols at /law-enforcement.

Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal information may be transferred subject to this Policy or successor notice.

We do not share health information with advertisers for targeted advertising.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for login sessions, security, and basic site operation.

We may use limited analytics or performance tools to understand how public pages are used. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or controls.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent login or core features from working.

8. Search engines and indexing

Private member areas — including profiles, photos, messages, matches, billing, and account settings — are intended to be excluded from search engine indexing.

Public marketing pages (such as home, about, terms, and this Privacy Policy) may appear in search results.

9. Data retention

We retain account and profile information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for security, dispute resolution, backups, and legal compliance.

Messages, likes, and photos are retained while needed to provide the Service or until you delete them / delete your account, subject to backup and legal hold exceptions.

Billing records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, and payment-network rules.

When you delete your account, we take steps to delete or de-identify personal information we no longer need, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, authentication, and private storage for uploaded photos.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password and keep your login codes confidential.

11. Your choices and rights

You may access and update many profile fields in the app, change health visibility settings, manage photo privacy, and delete your account through in-app controls where available.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of certain personal information, and to object to certain processing.

To exercise privacy rights, email support@datenownotlater.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and enough detail for us to verify your identity and respond.

You may also control marketing email preferences where applicable; transactional emails (such as verification codes and billing notices) are required to operate the Service.

12. Service area and processing location

We operate and serve customers only in the United States. We do not currently offer the Service to customers outside the United States.

We are based in the United States and process personal information in the United States.

13. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to third-party sites or open third-party checkout/portal experiences (including Stripe). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Stripe’s privacy information is available from Stripe.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when practicable (for example by email or in-app notice).

Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
